IIFT achieves 100% placement in record time yet again this year
one of India's Top Ten B-School's, as well as one of the oldest, is thrilled to announce the completion of final placements for the batch of 2014-16. This is the fastest completion of final placements across all Top 10 B-Schools, along with a stupendous 23.8% rise in average compensation at 18.01 Lakh Per Annum (LPA) for the class of 2016.
The placement for the largest ever batch of 254 students was completed in a record time. IIFT proved its mettle as one of the leading B-Schools in India. The major highlight of the placement process is the highest remuneration of more than Rs. 1 crore (USD1,50,000) for international placement being offered to IIFT students and Rs. 29 lacs as the highest domestic salary. There has been a remarkable rise of 21% in the highest domestic compensation offered. 15 international roles were offered as compared to 13 last year. Regrets were expressed to many companies as 100% placement has been achieved well in advance.
The placements at IIFT was marked by the presence of top leading recruiters across major sectors of Indian Economy who expressed their utmost keenness in offering maximum number of roles to IIFT students. Average compensation offered was Rs.18.01 lacs indicating a rise of 23.8% from previous year. One fourth of the batch received PPOs (36% rise vis a vis last year) which reflects the demand for outstanding quality of IIFT students in the business world.
Few of the top recruiters who have hired large number of IIFT students this year are Amazon, Cognizant Business Consulting, JP Morgan, Vodafone, IDFC Bank, Wipro, HCL, ICICI Bank etc.
Few of the new recruiters who hired IIFT students for the first time are Nivea, Pernod Ricard, 3M, British Telecom, Tata Sky, Synergy Consulting, General Motors, TGI Group, IDFC Bank and many more.
Recruiters across the leading domains and sectors offered their roles to IIFT students in Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI) sector being the largest recruiter hiring 25% of the batch. IIFT proved its excellence in finance domain with roles offered from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citibank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Edelweiss, Nomura, IDFC Bank, Religare etc.
International Placements remained firm with stupendous rise in offers across locations such as Tanzania, Nigeria, Middle East, Thailand and Hongkong. International roles were offered by Olam International, TGI Group, Bhatia Brothers, Bajaj Auto, Godrej etc. IIFT reinforced its standing as the best trade school in Asia with roles offered by reputed trade recruiters like AluZinc Asia, Louis Dreyfus, Swiss Singapore etc.
IIFT continued to mark its leading presence in sales and marketing with broad representation across sectors like FMCG, Pharma and Healthcare, E-Commerce, Telecom, Apparel Retail, Iron and Steel manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer Durables with marquee names like ITC, Godrej Consumer Products Limited, Nivea, L’Oreal, 3M, Britannia, TATA Motors, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., TATA Steel, Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, etc. ITC continued to maintain a 28 years long relationship with IIFT.
Conglomerates such as TATA, Godrej Industries, Mahindra and Mahindra, Airtel, Raymond, Welspun, Trident, Concentrix etc. offered their leadership and strategy roles to IIFT students. Consulting giants Deloitte, GeP, Cognizant Business Consulting, CEB etc. offered their coveted roles to IIFTians. Global Top-5 Executive Search firm, Russell Reynolds, continued to hire exclusively from IIFT.
Technology giants like Google, HP, SAP India, IBM, Hexaware and Adobe made their presence felt at IIFT. The E-Commerce sector hired aggressively from IIFT. Few of the larger recruiters included Flipkart, Amazon, ShopClues, CarDekho, Bluestone, Play Games24x7 etc. Telecom giants Airtel, Vodafone, Idea continued their valued association with IIFT.
